NOTICE OF VACANCY

 Interested persons are hereby notified that pursuant to Government Code § 1780 there is a vacancy on the

Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District

The position to be filled is a Two-year term ending in 2026.

The seat will be filled by appointment of the Board on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the next regularly scheduled meeting, for the unexpired portion of the term.

This district board has 60 days from the date the board is Notified* of the vacancy or the effective date of the vacancy, whichever is later, to fill the vacancy by appointment or call a special election. Government Code§ 1780(d)(l)

Pursuant to Government Code § 1780(d)(l), this notice will be posted for 15 days in 3 or more conspicuous locations in the district.

This has opened a 15-day window for candidates to submit their letters of intent by December 18 at 5:00 P.M.
